Positive Respectful Outstanding Unique Discoverers
Pukehina School is a small, vibrant, rural, learning community in the Western Bay of Plenty, located 20 minutes from Te Puke.
We cater for akonga from Years 1 to Years 8.
We have a strong emphasis on literacy and numeracy. Akonga accelerate learning and achievement through having small class sizes, 1-1 kaimahi/akonga engagement and well thought out and planned programmes. We strongly value education outside the classroom whether this be on the kura grounds or out in the community. We find innovative ways to utilise our spacious grounds.
We provide a free bus service that transports akonga from State Highway 2, Pukehina Parade, Pukehina Station Road and Old Coach Road.
Pukehina School is a very well resourced kura with four classrooms, a swimming pool, netball or tennis court, a rugby field and two playgrounds.
We continue to build strong connections with our hapu Ngati Whakahemo and are the proud hosts of the annual Pukehina Surf n’Sand Autorama.
The well being and achievement of our akonga is at the heart of our teaching practise.
Pukehina School provides and delivers a well rounded curriculum that caters for all akonga.
How lucky akonga are!

Pukehina School prides itself on building and sustaining strong relationships between akonga, whanau and the kura.
We value voices!
